Faith Cookler

Co-Chair, ADL National Commission

Faith Cookler was born and raised in Los Angeles and resides in Tarzana, CA. Educated at UCLA, she received a BA in English and a Secondary Teaching credential. She retired after teaching English teacher for 13 years.

Her ADL involvement includes: President, Pacific Southwest Region; National Development Vice Chair; Los Angeles National Committee Meeting Host Committee Chair; Chair, ADL LA Deborah Awards. She currently serves on the ADL Foundation Board of Trustees and as Co-Chair of the National Commission. She has participated in several ADL missions, including to China which influenced her to found the Asian-Jewish Initiative as outreach to members of Los Angeles Asian community.

Other community involvement includes: Co-Founder, Educational VP and board member of de Toledo High School, the third largest community Jewish high school in U.S.; Past Board President, Abraham Joshua Day School. She was honored with the inaugural Rabbi Harold Schulweis Humanitarian Award at Valley Beth Shalom Synagogue and has chaired its Benefactors’ Event. Faith is a Jewish Federation Lion of Judah. Faith met her husband, Jonathan, through an ADL young professionals leadership group in LA. They have two children and four grandchildren.
